The Priesthood of the Sacred Veil

I’d like to read something that came through me in the Servers Gathering:

We are the priesthood of the sacred veil
Who open vibrational gateways,
Call the twelve tribes into the flesh,
And set the ordinances of heaven in the earth.

We of this sacred order
Put our worlds on the altar of the most High,
Meet each other face to face,
And bring the transforming radiance of spirit to the world.

There has been a veil in human experience that has, for the most part, masked the reality of being and kept it from human experience. How could that veil be sacred? While it has separated, it could also connect. And where there are those who know the reality of that, they bring connection and, in doing so, open vibrational gateways so that the invisible reality of being may be known in human experience.

I’d like to read from something Martin Cecil said on this, in a service he gave called “The Parting of the Veil.” He said this:

The holy place is a place in the world of space and time, within man, where design and control appear. When the veil obscures the truth, then something else establishes control in the lives of men and determines the nature of the design. We can call this self-centeredness….

As the veil has begun to part in our holy place we begin to be in position to accept a different design and control. (TSS 13:55, March 26, 1972)

Design and control. Generally speaking, people desire to have a wonderful experience, to know joy and fulfillment, to enjoy all the things that for them are, generally speaking, on the other side of the veil. The design that Martin spoke of is the design of human function in the world, but it is also the patterns of the human heart. The controls that he spoke of include the controls that are present in the world. We could think of multinational corporations, or advertising, and we could go on and reference all the things that control in the world. But those controls are replicated in an individual human experience with the attempt to bring control into a person’s life—and, through that, to bring fulfillment.

People often try to protect the patterns that are in their heart through the efforts of their conscious mind. And patterns do get established in the human heart. The valiant human mind comes to the fore and says, “I’ll protect that; I’ll keep that safe,” and somehow tries to create an experience that brings fulfillment. Yet what is found is that there is no fulfillment without putting our worlds on the altar of the most High. But it’s pretty hard to do that without putting our own lives on the altar of the most High, or without putting our thoughts and feelings on the altar.

There are things in our life that go better if we work hard at them. But the most important things in life aren’t available that way. The most important things in a human life are available because a person opens, a person surrenders their life to the highest reality that they know. The most important things in life are available because the patterns that have been set in a person’s heart are released and a person says, “Okay. What now? I understand how it’s been for me. And what now?”

A person has to relax their thinking and relieve their mind of the burdensome responsibility of protecting and feeding the patterns of their heart. The human mind was designed to be a servant of the most High, not a servant of the hurt human heart, so that we open our thinking, and see; we know and express the thoughts of the most High. But actually they are our thoughts. It is what we see, what we know, what comes into our consciousness as we open ourselves to the most High. When that happens for a person, they begin to see the reality of Being all around.

As we were considering recently here, seeing is a radiant matter, because the patterns that are in the invisible are the same patterns that are outside us. If we are open with our mind, those patterns come through us in a radiant way. We see, and we understand. That doesn’t happen until a person relieves their mind of the burdensome responsibility of serving the hurt heart.

We had a very beautiful wedding ceremony here yesterday. These factors were brought to focus in people—in this case, in Ruth Buckingham and Phil Richardson. There wasn’t a hurt and defended heart that was brought to the altar yesterday. There was a heart open to the most High, and a conscious capacity that wasn’t burdened with the responsibility of protecting and defending the hurt heart, but which was serving the most High. As that is really true in a person or between people, something glorious can happen. The heart and mind are free to do what they were designed to do, and they’re free to do something together—to join in union.

We are the priesthood of the sacred veil
Who open vibrational gateways,
Call the twelve tribes into the flesh,
And set the ordinances of heaven in the earth.

When, for a person, their own thinking and feeling has been put on the altar, and there is openness to the reality of Being that would come through them, that person is in position to be a priest or priestess of the most High, and in position to receive and use power. It takes power to open the vibrational gateways in the human soul. We are remarkably made. Even when we are confused and disoriented, we would have to admit that the human capacity is remarkable. What happens where vibrational gateways open so something of the true intent for this human capacity, this human soul, is realized?

It takes some power, personally, for a person to open the gateways in themselves; and to assist another to open those same gateways takes some power. But the power that it takes comes from the other side of the veil. It’s not available to a person as long as the human mind has the job of defending and protecting the hurt heart. It’s only available as a person puts their world and themselves on the altar. Then the ordinances of heaven can be set in the earth. Which earth would that be? No doubt it includes the physical earth out there, but do you think it might start with this earth, our own human body?

The true priesthood carries power. It’s not a humanly developed power; it’s not a manipulative power. It’s the power of the reality of Being. It is the power to make whole. That is what the calling of the twelve tribes represents: wholeness. The twelve tribes refer to all of us; every aspect of us is made whole. Every aspect of the body of humanity is woven back together by the only power that could ever do that. That is the power of the priesthood, which calls every aspect of humanity into wholeness, into one body. It is the power of the priesthood that says, “Come brother, come sister, come father, come mother, come daughter, come son. Come all. Remember wholeness.”

We of this sacred order
Put our worlds on the altar of the most High,
Meet each other face to face,
And bring the transforming radiance of spirit to the world.

This is what the sacred order does. This is what we do as the sacred order, the priesthood of the sacred veil. Because we do so, our world is healed. There’s a healing of humanity in the only way that could ever happen, which is by the power of that spirit who made us, manifest through people.

So this has been quite a cycle over these last two and a half weeks, coming to a culmination in our Servers Gathering. It has been quite a coming together—the manifestation in the world of an ever-expanding field of love. The power of the priesthood is love.
