Following the Attunement Retreat that we held at Sunrise Ranch April 12-14, I have been feeling the intensification of the attunement current moving through me and through the other people who attended the event. Together we intensified the attunement current through the human experience. The attunement current is alive and well, whether or not we acknowledge it. We can be conscious about how it works and how we can play our part to magnify it and participate in it. If you’re unconscious, your body’s participating in it. When you’re sleeping, your body’s participating in it. When you are awake, you have the opportunity to magnify it consciously.

Attunement is an energy medicine practice as well as a way of life, and it is used as a healing modality by people. This morning, on the front page of The Denver Post, I saw this article. “Mother Theresia Bonzel, who founded the Sisters of St. Francis of Perpetual Adoration in Olpe, Germany, in 1863, is scheduled for beatification in November—a step towards sainthood—as a result of a boy’s miraculous recovery.”

I think every attunement server needs to be up for beatification. The story is dramatic—this young boy was sick for six months; he was four years old. Two nuns did a nine-day novena, asking for Mother Theresia to intervene, and the boy miraculously was well. I’m not sure why the nuns who did the nine-day novena weren’t offered beatification, but they were praying to this particular nun who was deceased. And there was a healing. Here is another comment from the article: “The situation or illness doesn’t have to be terminal or even dramatic. The cure simply has to be rapid, complete and utterly inexplicable by ordinary means.” Attunement!

I think this is the magic of attunement. It can be rapid, complete and inexplicable to the human mind. It magnifies cosmic love current moving through the human body, so that it might be made whole, so that it might know life, so that it might be able to express life in its natural design through the human experience. I’m not in any way mocking the process of beatification. In the Catholic Church this is a way they acknowledge miraculous things, or things they can’t explain. So at least it’s noted that something happened that’s inexplicable to the way the world has been seen to work. Someone is seeing something.

Many of us have shared long-distance attunements, where the person or situation that is being offered the attunement is not in the same room. Someone we know or someone with whom we have connection is receiving this loving cosmic current without even being present. I have heard reports that an individual may feel the presence of angels or of light. They often have a sense of ease or of love and support. What they are experiencing—whether it’s pain, grief, a medical procedure, or life’s pressure—is met with a greater sense of ease and surround. Magic happens. A miracle? That’s the way life works. That’s the way humanity is designed to work. We embody the cosmic love within and magnify that when we consciously do it together. I know many people who have said, “I have felt held in love and I don’t know where it came from.” It is inexplicable in earthly measure. There is no traceable line or mental process to explain where that love came from or how it got there.

You don’t have to join this convent, Sisters of St. Francis of Perpetual Adoration, to participate in miracles. For an attunement server, the idea of being in perpetual adoration is probably a natural state. It is an adoration of how life works…perpetually! Never ending or changing. Not when you need it, not when it’s convenient, not when you remember. There is a process of being conscious and staying conscious. I am alive, and I am in perpetual adoration of the life current moving through me. I perpetually bring the cosmic current of love.

In that experience we see how life works. I am surprised by the number of people who have learned how life works—it brings joy, it brings majesty, it brings pressure, it brings wonder and miracles—and then when they step out of that experience of the current of life they feel miserable, lonely, sad, angry, and blame something or someone outside themselves for the result. They took themselves out of the current of love. They may even try bargaining with life: “I will be back in the attunement current when this person apologizes or when things get better.” Boy, does that give the person who offended you or the circumstance a lot of power. And who are you serving? Who is paying the price?

I understand that at times we can lose our way and lose our positioning. I think holding each other in unconditional love allows the path back to be much easier. To be surrounded by people who know, remember and express this incredible design of how life works makes it easier for you to remember how you operate. We may lose our orientation because there is pressure in our lives. You may call it stress or tension. You may be in a part of the creative cycle where things are not clear. This is not decision-making time. This is holding-steady time. Stay in the attunement current and surround yourself with friends who know how this works. Let the miracle happen.

It may seem easier to blow off steam or take yourself out of that pressure. The pressure is a result of your creative cycle and it is building to serve that cycle. Leaving the process may result in some instant relief but it will be short-lived and unsatisfying. The process or cycle will have to begin again.

A good friend of mine once said if you are feeling pressure and don’t know what to do, don’t buy a house, don’t get married, don’t have a baby! It’s a long-term commitment decided at the wrong time. Wait—stay in the attunement current. Let the pressure build and reveal the glory round about.

I want to be totally responsible for my orientation. I really don’t want to spend my life apologizing for cycles I didn’t complete. I’m willing to work and wait and follow the rhythms of what will assist me to bring more of who I am and what I love. You may forget that you’re a child of the universe, animated by love, but that doesn’t mean you no longer are. The universe might be up there drumming its fingers, wondering where you went, wondering why you’ve left the party, but it doesn’t mean it’s left the party.

We are designed for greatness. Things come to us for transformation that may make us uncomfortable. Let them be transformed. Stay in the attunement current. There are things that bring you no joy. Let them go. Hold them in this perpetual current of cosmic love and let them go. Let the miracles happen. Let these changes happen rapidly, completely and utterly inexplicably by ordinary means. That is the power of cosmic love embodied in the human experience.
