Do you consider yourself a patriot? A patriot of the United States, or whatever is your native country? I notice that the word has a masculine root. So perhaps you are a “matriot.”

The word implies a sense of loyalty, a sense of service, and a sense of standing for something related to the collective in which you participate. So I consider myself a patriot of Sunrise Ranch, where I live. I’m here to serve Sunrise Ranch. I’m here to serve my country. But there’s always a larger context in which patriotism occurs. So yes, I’m here to be a patriot of the United States, but that does not mean I am against people from other nations. I am a patriot of the world, a patriot for who we are as humanity. I’m a patriot for this planet. And it seems that in this age the planet needs some patriots, because it is suffering.

As we approach July 4th, consider the founding documents of the United States of America. It’s amazing how well they have stood the test of time.

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness—That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed….

The Declaration of Independence

These words acknowledge that the power of governance arises from us as individuals and that individually it is we who empower who we are collectively and what we’re doing collectively. So the power for the collective originates within you and within me, and so it must be. It originates within people.

The preamble to the American Constitution says this:

We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.

It is so interesting that the founding fathers of the United States chose to begin the Constitution of the United States in this way. Let me say what it doesn’t say. It does not say, “We the senators of the United States;” “We the bankers of the United States;” “We the corporations of the United States;” or “We the churches of the United States.” It doesn’t say any of those things. It says, “We the people…” We the people, acknowledging our innate power as people, our innate gifts, and the innate authority that is within us. When we show up in that authority we have, together, the power of governance. We empower our collective function from the innate authority within us.

It seems that in these days that power is so often forgotten by the individual. There are forces of the world in which we live that overtake the individual power, or so it seems. And there are so many forces at work on the planet that are not looking to the common welfare of the people or of the planet itself. There are so many things that are happening on the planet which are not establishing justice and ensuring tranquility or bringing general welfare and the blessings of liberty.

So it seems clear that not only the people of the United States but the people of the world have to do what our founding fathers did, along with all those who stood together at great personal risk at that time.

Where is care for the common welfare of humanity going to be sourced from? We have a planet that is suffering. Where are the will and the authority to do something about that going to come from? Yes, a nation may do something; yes, a corporation might do something. Any collective might. We as Sunrise Ranch might do something; we as Emissaries of Divine Light might do something. But where is the power from the collective derived?

We are looking across the world at what happens when people concede their power to governments. Whether it is South Africa, the United States, Canada, or any other nation. Or it could be a corporation to which people concede power. What happened in the Revolutionary War was that those involved acknowledged that they had a natural, God-given authority over their lives.

I was considering with people at Sunrise Ranch on Wednesday evening that when we assume our creatorship we end up having authority over the things that we create. Do you notice that? If you create something, you have knowledge of what you created, you know how it was created, and you have a natural authority over it. If you write a piece of music, you know how it was made. If you build an organization, you know how the organization was created. And with knowledge, authorship and creatorship come a natural authority.

Is that not what this world needs? People—men and women—who come in the authority of their own creatorship? It’s said in the Bible, “Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.” I’m sure that it is hard to read those words without evoking all kinds of religious concept. But perhaps there’s a truth being pointed to that goes beyond religious dogma. Blessed is the man or woman who comes in the name of the creator that they are. Blessed is the farmer who steps into his field, or her field, in the name of the Creator that they are. Blessed is the mother or father who comes in the name of the Creator in their family. Blessed is the governor who comes in the name of the Creator that they are.

The governor of Ohio, John Kasich, is a Republican. I have not always agreed with what he said or did as a member of the United States Congress. But today he stood up as a patriot for his country.

Speaking of his own learning, Governor Kasich quoted his wife who told him, “John, you’re the governor of Ohio. You’re the father of Ohio. Why don’t you act like it?”

He told how politicians are awarded plaques acknowledging their service, and how people don’t really go into politics to earn plaques. He said how they don’t really join the Congress to serve their political party. They enter politics to serve their country. He went on to decry the way that politicians are putting party above country.

Whatever our field of service, there is always a larger picture. For me, I am a patriot for Sunrise Ranch. But only within the larger context of service to the people of the world in which I live. And I am only in service to those people in the context of Planet Earth itself.

Spiritually awake people come in the name of the planet. We are the heart and the consciousness of Planet Earth. That is who we’re meant to be as humanity. The earth is our Mother. I come in the name of the earth, and I speak for the earth. That is actually who you are and who I am. I speak for the very wisdom and intelligence and consciousness of Creation. I speak for the Creator that is who I am. I speak for the pattern of Creation that’s coming through me and coming through you. I speak for it so that the wisdom of it could be present in our world. I bring the light of it so that we could see what to do, so that we could act in harmony with all of Creation and do what fits in the pattern of evolution for this planet. So I bring the guidance of the Creator, who I speak for in my life, and for whom I act. I bring that wisdom, I bring that direction and intelligence. I bring the way of the Creator, and I speak for that. But not only do I speak for it, I stand for it. I act for it. I create for it.

We the people come together, not just for ourselves, for our party, or even for our country. We come together to stand for who we are together. We are the voice of the planet together. We are the hands and the feet and the heart of the Creator. And as humanity, we can acknowledge that we have violated that trust of consciousness that we’ve been given. I suggest we spend about one second feeling bad about that, and then the rest of our lives doing what is naturally ours to do, which is claiming our inheritance as human beings, which is individually and then collectively to think, to feel, to act, to speak, to stand for the Creator, who is the originating reality within Planet Earth.

We are individually a holographic expression of the Creator. Holographically, each one of us has all of the Creator within us. We have all of humanity and we have all the earth in us holographically, and we speak for it all individually. That is why I can write these words for all humanity. I can speak for our pride as human beings. I can speak for our destiny. I can speak for our greatness, because holographically that is who I am, that is who you are. I can be a voice for that. And then we come together, we the people. We are the larger embodiment of the voice of the planet, the voice of the Mother, the voice of the Father. We are the larger embodiment of that collectively, and we can speak with a loud voice together in solidarity. We can act together in a way that we cannot individually.

We the people of Planet Earth, in order to form a more perfect union—a more perfect union with the Creator, with the planet, with each other—and establish real justice…

What would real justice be?

There is a report issued by the Oxfam Group. It states this:

Eight men own the same wealth as the 3.6 billion people who make up the poorest half of humanity.

Is that justice? There’s been so many empires and nations that have fallen due to a concentration of wealth. It’s a lack of economic justice. But beyond that, this lack of economic justice indicates a reality that is out of balance with the larger harmony of Planet Earth. It is an indication of planetary injustice.

We the people of the world, the people of this planet, in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, ensure tranquility… We should add what we have awakened to today, almost two and a half centuries since the inception of the United States: that we are also here to care together for this planet. Acknowledging that we have been preying upon the planet in a way that’s unhealthy for the planet and unhealthy for us, and in a way that’s unsustainable, we come together to form a more perfect union that can reestablish justice for the planet. In truth, we come in the name of the planet, not only the outer form of the planet and all the species of life on the planet, but we come in the name of the heart of the planet itself, the heart of this world, the beingness of this world of which we are a part; the beingness that creates this world, so that we may fulfill the words of that beautiful, spiritual, “He’s got the whole world in His hands.” In His hands through His people, through Her people—we the people.

Despite what’s happening in this country, I’m proud to be a patriot and a citizen of the United States. And despite what’s going on in our world, I’m proud to be a citizen of this world and a patriot for this world. We come together with all who are awakening to their part in being a voice for the planet. May we truly come together and own the natural authority that is ours, and then empower what we’re doing collectively as awake human beings, never forgetting where our authority originates. It originates with you, and it originates with me as we let it be so. And when we stay in that originating power of governance, then together we have creative power as we the people of Planet Earth.
