The Shattering Power of the Cosmos

Jane AnetriniThe cosmos emerges through our thinking and feeling. We are participating in the birth of a new world. We are each a unique combination of feminine and masculine qualities. There are many lists naming the healthy and wounded qualities of the masculine and feminine. If you look at the lists, I am sure you could tick boxes in all the columns—Focused, needy, compassionate, caring, aggressive, blessing. We experience the strengths and challenges of the diversity of our humanity.

So why is this relevant? We are thinking too small. The cosmos moving through our thinking and feeling wants to create a new, thriving world. If we believe that we are limited by the way we have been told who we are by others in our world or by ourselves through self-judgment, we will continue to filter all that glory and all that passion through a limited aperture of belief and habit. And we will continue to prove our limitations as accurate. See, that’s what always happens. I can’t help the way I am. I try, but my circumstances are what they are.

Chris Buentiempo’s daughter is in the middle of having a baby right now. No concepts or ideas about this babe are set. How about we allow whatever the cosmos would look like through this child to just be? We can create a fertile field for their continued emergence. Whether a boy or a girl, we can let this child be who they are.

I know people who are intentionally not declaring the physical sexuality of their children because they don’t want to label them. That can create a different set of difficulties as we live in a world where men and women do have some unique qualities. Who we are is not totally determined by our physical bodies. But we don’t need to add confusion by ignoring the fact that there are masculine and feminine beings.

As David mentioned last week, the cosmos wants to think and feel through us. That can seem a little obscure. The ability of the mind to define or the heart to feel the cosmos could be a new idea. There are times our heart feels things that are very painful, and we wonder, Is that really the love of the cosmos? How does love move through you when you’re feeling all that? At times, the pain we’re feeling is because of our resistance to allowing the cosmos to move through.

We are connected to the cosmos, and the cosmos wants to create a new world. And it is doing that. Yet it is challenged by human beings who are saying, Oh, really? Not on my watch. I feel incredibly comfortable in this uncomfortable world because at least I know what’s going on.

It’s been said the devil you know is better than the devil you don’t. The discomfort you feel is safer than what else might be out there. You may live in an uncomfortable world filled with your own limitations, but at least you know what they are. And you can live in a world of beliefs about others’ limitations. I know exactly how this person is, and I can manage because I know what to expect. What you are expecting is what you will see, even if they’re not doing anything.

Did you ever notice that if you have a belief about someone, they will continue to prove you right? Your stubbornness to welcome the cosmos keeps them and your world in old dying forms.

I looked up this quote from the Bible because I remembered when I heard this line the first time, it surprised me.

And out of the ground, the Lord God formed every beast of the field and every fowl of the air; and brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof.

Genesis 2:19

I hadn’t realized that man participated in creation immediately following his arrival! This was an active co-op with the cosmos. There was something that was still happening that was of incredible value. And this is still true. We can name things and create things in conjunction with the cosmos, which are far more exciting than our preconceived ideas and judgments.

We could speak out the glory and beauty we see, magnifying it with our power. Here comes “the brilliant one.” Here comes “the radiant one.” Here is “the one who always sees things I don’t.” And that’s about everybody, really. Many people have incredible visions about vibrational things that I don’t see. We could also stop comparing and judging ourselves: Well, that’s the intuitive one, and I’m not, instead of just allowing our gifts to be complementary and to grow this new world. Human beings limit themselves by comparing and qualifying what’s important and what’s not important. The cosmos wants to think and feel through each of us. We have to think in a new way and think a new thought. I’ve “thought through” a lot of circumstances, believing I had clarity on an issue. I even celebrated the process in which the issue was addressed and cleared. Then suddenly, the issue arises from some nook or cranny I didn’t even know existed, causing me to feel like I failed. I was sure I was done with that issue. Maybe you can relate.

That is the time to allow things to shatter. Let the cosmos birth something through you that you never imagined. Think a new thought. Welcome the discomfort as it is filled with the potency of the cosmos. Let it shatter your beliefs about yourself and others so that you see things anew.

Jesus once said, “You have heard that it was said, but I say to you, it is expedient that I go away.” Two things are important in that message. First, “I say to you,” he shared his own thinking. You have heard this before, but I say to you. How powerful to think a new thought and share it so clearly. Secondly, “it is expedient that I go away.” Something had to break the pattern of dependency on old ways of being. The familiar structure had to shatter so the new could be born.

What a cultural shift there would be if we all spoke with that authority regarding our thinking. “I say to you….” The cosmos moving through me has something to say.

The cosmos does have your back. You are designed to co-create with it. Just as Adam named the animals, your thinking and naming matter. Ralph Waldo Emerson once said, “Once you make a decision, the universe conspires to make it happen.”

What we decide matters. If you have chosen to have self-limiting beliefs about yourself and others, the cosmos will back you up. Unfortunately, the cosmos is also creating a new thriving world that will eventually bump up against your decision, asking you, “Are you ready to let that shatter and create with me?”

Life is for living; the cosmos is alive. That sounds really simple, but it’s also true. If you start living, you’ll realize what it means to be alive. Let yourself live, let yourself be in your body, let yourself be outside, let yourself feel things, and let yourself think a new thought.

Do you know what it takes to do all that? A little bit of courage. It takes courage because it is uncommon. Others may try to convince you to stay safe. Stay with the familiar. My experience is it takes courage to be new, to be vulnerable. The you that is passing away will be uncomfortable while the you that is being born is emerging and excited.

You will look awkward, you will make mistakes, and you’ll look like a beginner because you are. Enjoy that. Think of the first day of summer vacation when you were in school. You didn’t have any idea what you might do, but you were excited to be free to do something different than school. You can enjoy the innocence of the unknown. A newborn you is learning!

So, can we do that as adults for other people now, as if they’re newborn babes? Can we hold a space to let them emerge and not judge the fact that they might not feel assured or comfortable? Can we assist them? We know mistakes will be made. I still make mistakes.

I say to you, I know there’s more.

I say to you that you and I are a unique creative duo. Let’s see what can happen.

I say to you, the cosmos moving through me supports and complements the cosmos moving through you.

It has been said, “Blessed are those who come in the name of the Lord.” Blessed are those who come, allowing the cosmos to be born through them—through their thinking and feeling, because that is how the Lord comes.

I say to you, let us bring the cosmic blessing of the energy of the universe and create a life-giving world.

It is, as you bring out, Jane, certainly a time to allow things to shatter. The shattering we’re observing in the world now is perhaps just a reflection of the shattering that is occurring in human consciousness, including our own. Did we seriously think that the dysfunctional human state that has been present on earth for thousands of years could pass away without causing a shattering experience for the body of humanity, which after all is the cause of the dysfunction? How essential it is for us to hold steady in the Truth of Love that we know as this clearing process proceeds.

Imagine if everyone minded their own business – and that business was love and acceptance and sharing and joy….
